ONTARIO PUBLIC LIBRARY WEEK
October is Canadian Library Month! During this month, libraries and library partners across Canada raise awareness of the valuable role libraries play in Canadians' lives. In Ontario, we celebrate our public libraries during Ontario Public Library Week (OPLW), the third week of October.
Ontario Library Association (OLA) is the provincial coordinator for Ontario Public Library Week. OLA organizes graphics, a contest and a launch event for OPLW for public libraries and their community partners. The 2016 Ontario Public Library Week marked the official launch of the A Visit Will Get You Thinking tagline. Libraries are encouraged to use the tagline during Ontario Public Library Week, and also during the year to complement their existing marketing strategies. |
